Size of a wedding cake topper?
The top tier of our 3-tiered wedding cake is 6 inches in diameter. We would like a single-letter monogram as our cake topper. What size should we get so that it doesn’t look too big or too small on the top of the cake?
About 5″ tall is considered right for a 6″ top tier. Go a lot taller than that and you could have a top-heavy look, is the thinking, but a topper that’s only 4″ tall can be dwarfed by a 6″ wide tier. Most cake topper designers do plan for standard top tier sizes such as 4″ and 6″ diameters, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding the right size.
